Amber Creft (she/her)
Amber is a Charlotte native, Licensed Attorney, and trauma-informed 200-HR Certified Yoga Teacher whose life work centers on advocacy, equity, and collective healing. Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Amber earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She then went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate from the North Carolina Central University School of Law.
In her legal career, Amber fiercely represents vulnerable populations, handling landlord-tenant disputes, domestic violence, and general civil matters. Her deep passion for serving marginalized communities fuels her drive to advocate for equity and equality in every space she enters. Through her work in both the law and yoga, Amber champions the belief that wellness is a fundamental right that should be accessible to everyone. She understands that true wellness is impossible when survival is at stake. By working to ensure that individuals' basic needs—like stable housing, food security, and reliable transportation—are met, she aims to create a world where wellness can be a true place of rest rather than another source of worry.
Amber’s yoga practice is deeply rooted in the core values of rest, justice, and community. She believes that yoga is a powerful tool that allows individuals to find liberation within themselves, which in turn sparks liberation within their wider communities. She is especially passionate about bringing yoga to communities of color and spaces dedicated to justice and advocacy. In her classes, Amber invites students into a space specifically interwoven for their rest and liberation. Her teaching offers gentle, mindful movement inspired by Tantra, Vinyasa, and Restorative yoga, creating a sanctuary where students can step off the front lines of daily life and return home to themselves.
